This prestigious event is organized by the Indira Gandhi Memorial Library, University of Hyderabad, in proud association with the Indian Library Association (ILA), New Delhi. The conference is also sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). About the Conference

As the digital and physical frontiers of information continue to merge, FLARE 2027 aims to redefine the role of libraries as catalysts for global knowledge and social progress. The conference serves as an ideal forum for examining the shifting paradigms of the field, offering sessions that will explore how libraries can anchor the future of intellectual exchange and drive meaningful community empowerment.

About the Speaker

Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Sancheti is an eminent Educational Leader, Institution Builder and a Higher Education Policy Planner. He holds a Ph.D from Queens University of Belfast UK, M.Sc. (Engg.) from DTU Delhi and B.Tech from NIT Warangal. He is currently the Vice President - Research Relations & Academic Affairs, Elsevier (India). He has also served many professional bodies like FICCI, CII, EPSI, IUCEE, NAAC, DST, CSIR, DRDO, TEQIP, AIU, AIM, ACU, ANZIBC, IISF, CIPU, SPIC MACAY etc. in different capacities. He was a member of the Court & Council of IISc Bangalore as well as a member of Board/Senate of many other academic institutions. In addition, he has been on various national level committees of MHRD/MOE, UGC, AICTE and AIU for higher education and had been a part of several Indian delegations abroad. He was also invited to address the Members of Parliament, Govt. of India on educational matters. Prof. (Dr.) Sancheti had the distinction of heading Seven NITs including NITK Surathkal, NIT Trichy, NIT Calicut, NIT Delhi and SPA Delhi (all institutions of national importance) as Director. He has also led self-inanced institutions like Manipal University Jaipur as President, SRMIST Chennai as Vice Chancellor and Marwadi University Rajkot as Provost. He is a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship under Colombo Plan and was a Visiting Faculty at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok. He is the Past President of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi and the Executive Council Member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) London
