Registration Process

The following enclosures are required:

  • 1.Brief CV of the applicant and degrees of Graduation, PG, and Ph.D. Research statement covering current research problems. (not more than 1 page).
  • Sent the hardcopy of the filled registration form through speed post only to The Course Director, ICSSR Sponsored Research Methodology Course, Department of Architecture and Planning, MANIT Bhopal, Link Road Number 3, Near Kali Mata Mandir, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India 462003.
  • Participants are required to bring their laptop for practical sessions.
  • Applications received after the due date shall not be considered

Duration & Venue of the Workshop

  • The Workshop will be conducted from 13 th July 2024 to 22 th July
  • 2024 at the Department of Architecture and Planning, MANIT, Bhopal

Accommodation & Travel Allowance:

Twin -sharing accommodation will be provided to the outstation participants only. Travel allowance by shortest distance (train fare or bus fare only) will be reimbursed to the outstation participants, as per the ICSSR guidelines.

About the Programme

The Research Methodology Course for M. Phil/PhD /PDF and Young Faculty Members in Social Sciences /Commerce & Architecture – Planning has been carefully crafted to empower and enrich the research capabilities of emerging academicians in this field . Its primary
objective is to equip young faculty members with the essential skills
and knowledge required for excelling in their academic research pursuits and making substantial contributions the realm of social sciences . Participation in this comprehensive capacity -building
program will enable young faculty members in social sciences /planning /architecture enhance their readiness for rigorous research endeavors ,successfully publish their findings in esteemed academic journals , and play a significant role in advancing knowledge within
their respective fields. Additionally , this program will foster the creation of a dynamic academic community , promoting collaboration among peers and elevating the overall quality of research within the
realm of social sciences/ architecture/planning.

The program encompasses several crucial components, including:

Research Methodology Workshops : These specialized workshops delve into the diverse research methodologies frequently
employed in the social sciences, encompassing both quantitative
and qualitative approaches. Participants acquire skills for crafting research studies, data collection, analysis, and the interpretation of research findings.

Publication and Writing Skills: Dedicated training sessions focus on refining academic writing prowess, manuscript preparation, and navigating the publication process . Young faculty members
receive guidance on structuring research papers , crafting compelling abstracts , and effectively navigating the publication
submission process.

Research Ethics and Integrity : Discussions underscore the significance of research ethics and integrity , emphasizing
responsible research conduct, respecting participants ‘ rights, and steering clear of plagiarism or research misconduct.

Data Management and Analysis : Training sessions cover data management techniques and familiarize participants with statistical analysis software typically employed in social sciences research . Participants acquire proficiency in the handling and analysis of research data to extract meaningful insights.

Networking and Collaboration : The program provides ample opportunities for participants to connect with established
researchers , both within and outside their institution . This fosters the potential for research collaborations and the exchange of valuable knowledge and expertise.
The course has a comprehensive coverage plan , addressing various analytical research methods employed in social
sciences commerce /architecture , planning and related disciplines , with a strong emphasis on their practical

Eligibility Requirements for Participants:

The course welcomes individuals who are currently pursuing M. Phil/PhD/PDF or Young Faculty Members in the field of Social Sciences / Architecture / Planning and related disciplines at a UGC -recognized Indian University , Deemed University , College , Institute of National
Importance, or ICSSR Research Institutes. Additionally, those who are actively engaged in economic/Management/Commerce’s and social science researches or have plans to embark on such research endeavors
are eligible to apply . This program is also beneficial for individuals interested in pursuing research projects supported by government agencies and other funding organizations. Please note that the program has a limited capacity, with a maximum of 20 participants. We strongly
encourage participation from both within the state of Madhya Pradesh and from across the entirety of India .

How to Apply

Interested candidates can apply to Course Director by filling up the registration
form on or before 30th June, 2024. The shortlisted participants will be informed by 4th July 2024 . A duly filled soft copy of the registration form and required documents may please be sent by email at dr.kdmanit@gmail.com and sent the hardcopy through speed post only.
