The Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD), Government of Kerala, invites applications for the position of Project Coordinator for the “Strengthening Family Reintegration
and Preventing Re-institutionalization of Children – a Project Assisted by UNICEF in Three Districts of Kerala through effective social protection linkages

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project planning and implementation across three districts (Kannur, Thrissur, and Kottayam)
  • Stakeholder coordination and convergence
  • Resource development and management
  • Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Support de- institutionalization and family-based alternative care interventions

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Child Development, or a related field from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management, preferably in child protection, family welfare, or social protection (including post-qualification internships)
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data management tools
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, policies, and social protection schemes in Kerala

Duration: Initial contract for 6 months, with possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements

Location: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, with frequent travel to Kannur, Thrissur, and Kottayam districts
