The Khowang College Journal of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences invites original and unpublished research papers, scholarly articles, review articles, theoretical interventions, critical essays, book reviews, and interdisciplinary studies for a Themed Issue on “Subaltern Voices: Knowledge, Resistance, Identity and Social Transformation.” Subaltern Studies has significantly transformed the ways in which history, society, culture, identity, and power are understood. By drawing attention to communities and voices historically positioned outside dominant structures of power, the field challenges elite-centred narratives and foregrounds the agency, knowledge, experiences, and resistance of marginalised groups. This Themed Issue particularly encourages interdisciplinary approaches and critical scholarly engagement with the diverse dimensions of subalternity in the Indian context.
