The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released a notification to fill Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) posts.

Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university is required. Candidates must have completed their educational qualifications by the application deadline. Candidates awaiting final examination results are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age as of 01-01-2027. A relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit applies to SC/ST candidates, and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates. Additional age relaxation is available for persons with disabilities (PwD), ex-servicemen, railway employees, and others, in accordance with the rules.

Salary: The Initial pay is Rs. 35,400 for Chief Commercial-cum-Ticket Supervisor; Rs. 29,200 for Goods Train Manager; Rs. 29,200 for Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist; and Rs. 29,200 for Senior Clerk-cum-Typist.

Selection Process:

Based on Computer-Based Tests (CBT 1 & 2), document verification, and a medical examination.

Examination Pattern:

CBT-1 consists of 100 questions with a duration of 90 minutes. The paper includes 40 questions on General Awareness, 30 on Mathematics, and 30 on General Intelligence & Reasoning. There is a negative marking of 1/3 mark for every incorrect answer.

CBT-2 consists of 120 questions to be answered within 90 minutes. The paper comprises 50 questions on General Awareness, 35 on Mathematics, and 35 on General Intelligence & Reasoning. Candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage based on the normalized marks obtained in the first stage.

A negative marking of 1/3 mark applies for every incorrect answer in the CBTs.

Application Process:

Through Online. A candidate must apply to only one RRB; applications will be rejected if more than one application is submitted.

Examination Fee: Rs.250 for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Transgender/Minority/EBC candidates, and Rs.500 for others. A refund will be provided to all candidates who appear for CBT-1.
