Navadvīpa was a renowned centre of learning in the Indian tradition of logic and epistemology. This workshop aims to introduce participants to the rich intellectual heritage of Navya-Nyāya and its distinctive methods of linguistic and logical analysis. It will explore how the precise analysis of language can facilitate clarity of thought, minimise ambiguity and enhance effective communication. The analytical tools of Navya-Nyāya also offer exciting possibilities for interdisciplinary engagement, including computer science and language technology.
Scholars, research scholars, postgraduate students, and faculty members interested in Indian intellectual traditions, logic, epistemology, language analysis and interdisciplinary studies are welcome to apply.
